GLOSSOP - Wall

We are descended from the Glossop family of Bakewell, Derbyshire, England. It is highly likely a Glossop male ancestor was from the town of GLOSSOP about 32 km away (20 miles). On the whole this family did not move around much, especially compared to many of our other ancestors who travelled the world.
GLOSSOP is a less common surname derived from a geographical locality, 'of Glossop,' a parish in Derbyshire, England.
WALL can apparently be from living by or building a wall amongst other possibilities. It's a fairly common name.
